Clara Furey seeks to awaken the senses of both the dancers and the spectators and explores both movement and presence using intuition as the primary source material. The creative process is structured around somatic (relating to the individual’s mind-body connections) imagery and improvisation which by definition generates material that is specific to each individual performer. Who each of them is influences the ways in which they resonate with the images Furey proposes and this becomes the basis of the performance dramaturgy.
